Sixteen units will be set aside as Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) for veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The development will be comprised of five (5) residential buildings and one, 4,000 square foot community building that will accommodate a multipurpose room with kitchen, property management and social services offices. The amenities will include a gated entry, picnic area, and playground. Each residential building will have a laundry area and secure bicycle parking and bicycle storage. There will be 70 spaces of reserved parking for residents at a neighboring site. When completed, Southwest Village will provide a pathway to the creek improvements and the southern portion of the Orange Line Light Rail & Euclid Avenue Transit Center Station. Southwest Village is a key component of an overall Town Center Master Plan that includes the Southeastern Live Well Center and KIPP Adelante Preparatory Academy, both currently under construction.
