As Vice President of Development for Related California, Mr. Moritz is responsible for managing all aspects of the development process, including acquisition, financing, entitlements, design, construction and asset management, for several mixed-use developments in Southern California, including 710 Broadway in Santa Monica, a $400 million development with 280 apartments, a 30,000 square foot park, approximately 34,000 square feet of community-serving retail, and a 53,500 square foot state-of-the-art Vons urban market, and Related Bristol, a $3 billion mixed-use, master planned development envisioned to include 3,750 residences, 350,000 square feet of retail, a 250-key hotel, and 200 senior, assisted living residences located adjacent to South Coast Plaza in Orange County.
Prior to joining Related, Mr. Moritz underwrote new investments at Moelis Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, and was an investment banker in the restructuring group at Rothschild, Inc.
Mr. Moritz holds a Master of Business Administration with a major in Real Estate from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, and a Certificate in Real Estate Design and Development from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design.
