As Vice President of Development for Related California, Mr. Simsik is responsible for all aspects of development and financing for many of Related California's market rate and mixed-income developments in Northern California, and leads the Related Senior Living platform on the West Coast, a $625 million pipeline.
Since joining Related in 2015, Mr. Simsik has managed more than $750 million of development in San Francisco, including The Avery, a 548-unit, mixed-use, mixed-income, residential development and Coterie Cathedral Hill, a 208-unit, luxury, senior living development.
Prior to joining Related, Mr. Simsik was an Aviation Captain and Chinook Helicopter Pilot in the United States Army for eight years with combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Mr. Simsik holds a Master of Business Administration with a major in Real Estate from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Mr. Simsik is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the San Francisco chapter of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).
